Latest Update – Railway Bridge – Great Missenden
As an update to the previous post regarding the deteriorating state of the road surface on the Network Rail owned bridge on the A4128 by Great Missenden Station, please see update below provided by County Councillor Peter Martin.
The following issues are delaying a date for repairs to be arranged:-
- The work needs to be carried out at night to minimise disruption,
- Because there are so many utilities involved assurances are required before contractors will undertake the work,
- Network Rail have to attend whilst any work is undertaken,
- The overnight road closures on Frith Hill need to be completed before further overnight road closures in the area will be permitted by Bucks County Council Highways team.
The good news is that because of the pressure that has been applied the budget is now available to do the resurfacing and the team are working hard to sort the outstanding issues.
Councillor Peter Martin
